Sporting Services was started in 1989 by Lyn Clarke selling mainly shooting accessories to the Gun Trade and using her expertise in corporate entertainment to organise Events. In 1992 Graeme Clarke left full time employment and came into the business when he was offered the Eley Hawk Cartridge agency for the South East of England.

The company has grown rapidly from year to year, as it has added to its range of products and agencies. For the past seven years it has sold country clothing and its main range now being Deerhunter from Denmark, which they distribute to the trade and sell from their website.

Sporting Services was appointed sales agents for the renowned Accuracy International precision rifle in 1999 and have recently been appointed Accuracy’s European Distributor.

Over the years Graeme has used his expertise in ballistics to build up that side of the business and Sporting Services now supplies ballistic test equipment to the major armored structure manufacturers and test houses within the United Kingdom and Europe. Graeme also uses his extensive knowledge of firearms and ammunition for consultancy work within the Defence industry.

Graeme and Lyn are both involved with corporate entertainment for local hotels and are looking forward to Alexander House’s latest venture into “Country Pursuits Weekends” for which Sporting Services will be organising Clay Pigeon Shooting, Archery and Falconry.
