Sagunto, Spain, 27 June 2008, 13.24 GMT: Earthrace, the world’s fastest eco-boat, has smashed the world speed record for a powerboat to circumnavigate the globe, knocking almost 14 days off the previous record. The boat crossed the finish line in Sagunto at 13.42 GMT on Friday 27 June having traveled around 24,000 nautical miles fuelled by biodiesel to demonstrate the efficiency of, and draw global attention to, the potential for alternative fuel sources. 25th June 2008 - Earthrace Nearly Home!
Earthrace is nearing completion of her epic journey and is well ahead of the World record, she is due at the finishing line this weekend ETA 27/28th June. We are all keeping our fingers crossed for a uneventful crossing through the Med on her way back to Sagunto, Spain. We wish Pete and his crew a safe return to home and congratulations on such an amazing voyage. What strength and tenacity Pete and his crew showed especially in the harsh conditions of the monsoons. Well done to Earthrace, your crew and ground crew, we are pleased and very privileged to have been a small part of such a great adventure!

27th Apr 2008 - EarthRace Launches!
We are pleased to announce that Earthrace has started her epic voyage to try and break the round the world speed record using biodiesel. We recently had the pleasure of visiting Pete Bethune and his crew at the Vulcan ship yard in Valencia (see photos below). Our sponsorship and involvement with Earthrace came about through our association with Phil Cable at Mast (www.mast-yacht.co.uk). We have previously sold Accuracy International rifles to yachts for protection on the high seas through his company. To sponsor Earthrace we have given an Accuracy International rifle and a Stoeger 12 gauge shotgun. We wish Pete and his crew the best of luck and hope he will not have to use his new weapons in anger. We would also like to take this opportunity of thanking our spanish associates ARDESA SA (www.ardesa.com) for their help in transporting the weapons from the UK to Spain.

Its now official AI have been purchased by a British consortium. AI rifles & products will, therefore continue. Watch this space for further updates, as and when the news becomes clearer. We wish the new venture all the very best and thank our customers for their continued support of this great "British" product!.
25th February 2005 - Accuracy International News
Accuracy International went into Receivership on Friday 18th February. There has been much speculation and rumours spreading around this week and we have been reluctant to announce any news until we had something concrete. However, we have had so many calls of support and concern we feel we need to pass on to our Customers what we have been told is the position concerning AI's future. The official line from the Receivers is that it is their intention to sell AI as a "going concern" thereby enabling the products to continue. The Receivers hope to have made a decision by the end of next week 4th March and at which time we will update our Site. We thank everyone who has phoned and emailed us with their support this week and like all of you are can only hope that Accuracy International rifles and products will continue in some way. We will endeavour to serve you as best we can from the stock we have, please bear with us at this difficult time and lets all hope for a positive outcome.

Our competition horse Sporting Vista came second and third in two British Dressage Prelim. classes at Limes Farm in Kent at the Weekend. Jessica Wilson was riding him and they did extremely well in large and competitive classes. We are looking forward now to their next outing.

A Danish Customer who bought an AE rifle. He is currently planning for the Sniper competition in Finland next year. Rifle is fitted with a Schmidt & Bender 3-12 x 50 scope and the spotting scope is a Leupold 12-40 x 60.

Sporting Services is happy to announce the arrival of Stoeger shotguns for which we are the UK distributor. Stoeger shotguns are manufactured in Turkey by a Beretta Group company. A range of shotguns manufactured under licence using the Benelli inertia - recoil system which allows the use of all types of 12g cartridges without adjustment. The guns feature 3" chambers, choice of 26", 28" & 30" barrels, and multichoke (5 chokes with each gun). UK proofed. Available in Walnut, Black synthetic and Realtree Advantage Timber finish. Sporting Vista, the company's competition horse, ridden by Jessica Wilson recently won a prelim. dressage test at Detling, Kent Show ground with 68% and was second in another prelim. test with 65.5%
